A very impactful and well done story! I felt a lot of emotions while going through Venba’s plot- it’s rich with all sorts of moments that make you take a step back to reflect on what you learn. Not to mention the art, animation and music (my gosh the MUSIC) are all a feast to experience as you play through the levels. Definitely found myself just taking moments of pause during cooking just to enjoy listening along to the radio haha. If I had anything to add, I would’ve loved a “free play” option to the game to do more of the gameplay aspect of figuring out the recipes while making dishes. The levels you do get to play during the storyline are very well done (especially with the various “puzzles” to them), it just made me crave more of them! I don’t mind the story being as short as it was because dragging it out might’ve impacted the emotional beats too much, but I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to any future DLC potential of extra levels or moments too.
