A story-rich first-person psychological horror game. You are in a lonely house, suffering from sleep paralysis. Deal with Thomas’ past trauma and make meaningful decisions that prevent you from going insane. Brushing aside the fact that the assets were store-bought, if not we’d be at this all day… And just focus on how imaginatively utilized everything was! The independent levels didn’t appear as such, as each had a mini arc to shed light on with some overlapping fragments.. of what? You tell me! There’s the dingy warehouse with many sets of eyes from a movie that Thomas watched; the butt sore of a plane ride with its bumpiness and dipping brightness, which changed his outlook on life; a dungeon with “subjugation” written all over its brick walls and pockets of darkness, and then some more I’m not gonna spoil. Point is, each area stood for something decisive! I envied Thomas’ home, which acted as the anchor point and place of solace, when conscious anyway… Not much to elaborate on the scoring, for it sounded like standard filler music which was arranged to PS’ advantage. Selected tracks mainly oscillated between three contrasting but supplementing moods, namely the untroubled calming lullaby. Then the unnervingly mysterious and relaxing or as I like to call it “research phase” music sets in! Before finally, a full-on ominous ensemble filled with strings and hisses encroaching the foot of your bed~ Tons of said films go wrong in the ceaseless shifts in perspective, something SP never breaks character and therefore more personal, as it should be.

16. August 2018 – Barkley Valley, British Columbia, Canada. Thomas is suffering from sleep paralysis and you are trying to find a cure to this awful experience. As the days go on you will suddenly awaken… you don’t have a sleep paralysis… it’s still your room, but something feels different… something IS different. In the following chapters, you will face the trauma that has haunted Thomas for a very long time. Afraid of flights? Abusive exes? Traumatizing movies? The backrooms? Experience this trauma in the game. Make different decisions that affect your playthrough, solve puzzles to progress and keep your sanity in check to not lose your mind. There’s also gonna be a unique P.T. Loop! Your decisions will also influence whether you will fall into darkness and lose your mind, or survive and come out stronger Key Features Narrated Story – Thomas is writing about the events that happened to him over the past few days. You are accompanied by his narration. Making Meaningful Decisions – Some of your decisions have an impact not only on the story but also your immediate experience of the game. Managing Fear and Stress – Thomas can only take a certain amount of stress. You have to make sure you are dealing with his fears and stress in the right way. Solving Puzzles – You will solve puzzles during certain parts of the game in order to progress. Investigating Your Problem – You have to try and find out what is happening to Thomas. You can do this by paying attention to all the information provided in the game (narration, websites, notes, pictures, video tapes etc…)
