I’m reviewing as positive, because there is a great foundation here, and I want to see the game grow. BUT, there is ALOT that needs to be done by the devs to get it there. So, let’s get the positives out of the way. The meat of the gameplay is great. Controls are responsive, and everything mostly makes sense. Fight Forever has struck a perfect balance between the pure spectacle of the 2K series, and the pure arcade feel of FirePro. There are however some glaring exceptions. It should be possible to put someone into a seated position from the ground (you can only do that with certain moves), and there was no reason why we can’t have additional slots for rear grapples and corner grapples. The graphics are……. ‘not great, not terrible’. People have been unfairly throwing around N64 or PS2 graphics. And they’re only that bad when you compare them to 2K23. Take that out of the equation, and it would be fair to say they’re on par with earlier 2K games from early in the PS4/Xbone era. They’re…… acceptable.
