Pretty good game, it’s a combination of a puzzle and a story teller. You have to figure out how to progress through the story while getting what you need. Very unique concept. So the thing about this game so far is that it doesn’t really make sense in its mechanics, and I’ll explain. For example in every book you go in, you have the illusion of choice, and I say illusion because no matter what you pick eventually it will all bring you to the end of the book. Like there’s no choice that you’ll pick to where you’ll die. That’s the first major thing. The second major thing is that combat does absolutely nothing in this game. Like you fight things, and if you win, you get ink, which doesn’t do much, but if you lose, you just start over, so it’s not a game over, its just a little bit more time. Which is pointless, because even if you win and get ink, it doesn’t matter enough to do anything. Like you don’t use it to upgrade anything, you just use it for an occasional quest and for those fights. And so I just feel like this game has a lot of great elements that are not being utilized correctly, so they feel very linear.
