Well first off when I first bought this game it was when it first released, the bugs were overwhelming and didn’t run well even with my RTX 3080, I quickly refunded it. Fast forward a year or so and picked up a Steam Deck and saw Sable go on sale, I read some updated reviews and figured I’d give it another go. I couldn’t be happier, the game is my personal favorite indie game of the year and I find myself going back to it whenever I want to relax. Everything about the game oozes style and the art direction is one of a kind. The exploration paired with non-combat centers gameplay and a sense of adventure makes this small title a justifiable purchase for anyone looking to wind down and have some fun. This game is a real gem. I don’t like open world games generally, but this one didn’t overwhelm me with options or stress me out at all. Every new place I found was interesting and distinct, which paired well with the lovable npcs and got me totally immersed. I managed to find the stuttering and random glitches charming, and just finished getting 100% in the game post-fishing update. Love the style, love the music, love the writing, buy this game.
