Genuinely one of the best metroidvanias I’ve ever had the pleasure to play. The combo mechanics are an incredibly deep addition and make styling on bosses fun and engaging at all times. It’s borderline “spectacle fighter” deep. The world is really big with tons of secrets and plenty of ways to circumvent the “intended” routes and do what you want / go where you want / get what you want. Finally, the bullet hell aspect is wonderfully executed, gorgeous, and very forgiving. Every boss has something new to keep you on your toes, and the higher difficulties provide a meaningful post-game experience. This game is a 10/10 to me. All that said, I have one cautionary note: It is impossible not to talk about all the anime girls. The game’s story is not horny and has nothing to do with any of their designs, but yeah,

there are a lot of girls with less than appropriate clothing. The game contains no nudity, however, no sex, no sex scenes, etc. Just… a lot of anime girls. I personally am not bothered by it, but I do get that this is a black mark for some, and it does make it hard to play in front of others. Rabi-Ribi is an adorable, cute, and funny Bullet Hell/Metroidvania mix that has a very cute and self-aware story. The entire experience is also very expensive with an extremely well-made soundtrack that will get stuck in your head and have you humming to yourself for hours on end. I do legitimately think that,
