Don’t go into this game expecting a Vampire Survivors clone. This is an idle game presented as a Survivors-like with a PoE gear system/skilltree. Currently it’s a gigantic mess, but I’m rating it on potential. The text is halfway unreadable (pixel art text is dumb), there’s almost no documentation, etc. If you’re comfortable figuring everything out on your own, go for it. After about a half an hour I can say the game runs smoothly and is a fun time. There is a slight annoying thing where sometimes the image of stats gets stuck on your cursor so you have to hover over another thing to get rid of it. The complexity seems to be good and theres still a lot for me to learn. Especially for 4 dollars you can definitely get your moneys worth if you like similar games such as Vampire Survivors. Going in, I expected a VS clone, a genre which I love. Unfortunately, I was greeted by a game which plays like an idler, a genre which I have failed to enjoy in the past. Path of Survivors, however, executes itself perfectly. The balance between difficulty, fun, and exploration of various strategies is brilliantly implemented.
