The art looks great, the concept is interesting, and when it goes right it can be a lot of fun. The problem is the enjoyment of the game is hampered by sheer randomness and the time it takes to play. Hotline Miami is fun because while it’s difficult, death is cheap and it doesn’t feel like a waste of time. Here your default character moves painfully slow, levels take a fair amount of time to play, and your ability to succeed hinges on what traps spawn in and how/when people walk by them.
