First off, a little story. My brother sent this to me for Christmas of 2020. He told me it was an indie action-platformer, ALA Shovel Knight and that it could be beaten in an afternoon. I played this game for 5 HOURS STRAIGHT, frustrated to tears that I was so incompetent at this game. At 3 o’clock in the morning, he revealed to me it was a prank. I quit and didn’t touch it again for two years. In a fit of boredom, I came back and tried it again. I was very pleasantly surprised. Jump King is a triple agent. What appeared at first to be an innocent platformer, turns out to actually be a hellish rage game, that then turns out to be one of the most tightly-designed, satisfying indie games I’ve ever played. THE GOOD: – Extremely tight controls. – Beautiful pixel art. Immense challenge, very satisfying to overcome. THE BAD: – This game is for a VERY specific type of person. Most people will get frustrated and turn away. Maybe you will be one of the few who rises to the occasion? – Mistakes in this game are not nearly as punishing as you think they are. Your goal in this game should not be to make it to the top; it should be to memorize and master every jump one at a time. ✨ Buy From Official Steam Website
