Eiyuden Chronicle Rising Free Download (v1.3)

Eiyuden Chronicle RisingEiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town’s rise from the ashes. Drawn by lenses and other treasures in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they’ll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don’t think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they’ll learn more about each other’s reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process. As you will learn, these Runebarrows hide a great secret that has fateful implications for one of the characters. What begins as a simple treasure hunt turns into a dark conspiracy that will shake the world and plant seeds that carry over into the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with thrilling action and engaging town-upgrading elements. There will be some perks for players that link the game with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. *The name of one character from the Eiyuden Chronicle franchise has been changed from JB to CJ. The companion game for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Rising was initially announced as a minigame collection where you could help rebuilding a town. What we got, instead, is a platformer RPG that follows the initial idea in spirit: Explore the world, complete villager requests, and the town will grow. Taking that into account, this game is, yes, more than what was expected by fans. There is a main plot, with good writing that we came to expect from the Suikoden team – even if the main scenario was actually written by Tadashi Satomi, and not Yoshitaka Murayama. The dialog is, most of times, of the humorous kind, and the characters – even the NPCs – have a lot of personality. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, with three possible characters that can be switched by the press of a button, each having their own unique skills for combat and exploration. There is a good variety of places to be explored, and a humongous amount of side-quests. Speaking of them, the side-quests may be the weakness of this game for many people – most of them are simple fetch quests or kill X enemies types of quests. However, most of those are actually pretty simple to complete, and many can be completed at the same time, on a single run. Personally, they never felt like too much for me.

There are also some things that may cheapen the experience, like the character animations – 2D Skeleton based animations, that makes the game looks a bit cheap at times – but the art and backgrounds are, in general, great. The game also feels a bit too short – maybe padded by the subquests – but again, it was always supposed to be just something to show a bit of the world before the main game was released. Building out the town is satisfying and only mildly grindy, with solid rewards for each stage of development. I enjoy gathering materials for character upgrades as a concept, and this game is extremely willing to meet me where I live on that score; every item that drops from enemies or gathering nodes is used to either unlock or purchase gear upgrades (which are split between straight stat increases and mechanical enhancements) or unlock new meals at the tavern, which can then be purchased for money, and which provide a small but permanent boost to various stats. Overall a deeply charming game, and far more than the simple cash-in on a highly anticipated title that I worried it might turn out to be Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a fun experience, that in my opinion is well worth the price. ✨ Buy From Official Steam Website
