BloodRayne 2 and at first it looked better on paper, because this game have proper cutscenes which looks and sounds alright, the soundtrack was okay too, and with that the game has an edgy style, which is not for everyone but it’s good for the series and I liked it too. The game also trying to build more on to the story and introduce different characters, which is a nice addition However I didn’t had to play this game a lot to notice some disappointing elements in it. One of my main issue is Rayne’s movement. Comparing to the last game this feels so “limited”, it’s hard to describe it. The character can’t make fluent turns or you can’t really position it how you really want it and I feel like I lost a good amount of freedom in this game to do certain maneuvers, which i was able to do in it’s predecessor. Sadly this also effect the fights and you need to try really hard just to get used to it somehow, which is not easy. Another thing which I didn’t liked was the progression in the levels. There are platformer sections, which are limited again due to the already mentioned style of movement, but there are also some kind of puzzles section where the player usually have to use the enemies’ bodies to unlock new routes to go through.
