Compete in cooking, crafting, and fishing contests or invite your sweetheart to join you for stargazing during one of Rigbarth’s many seasonal festivals. This is a Harvest Moon game with a 25-35 hour RPG sidequest. For newcomers, this is a great game if you can get it at a bit cheaper of a price. If you like Stardew Valley and wish there was a more compelling story, then this is a series you should check it out .  The story progression is probably the starkest departure of this game, and no doubt what spawns a lot of the ire from hardcore RF fans. I played on hard difficulty. The game does not limit you on how many requests you can do per day, or how many of the “Wanted Monsters” you can do. Going blind, I was able to complete the entire story by Summer 3That’s about all I have to say for you. For Rune Factory fans, this is not Rune Factory 4: The Sequel. This is Rune Factory 5.

Rune Factory 5 ?

The first hour of the game had me feeling like this game was going to be an objective step down. Everything felt off, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. You have these cutscenes with their forced pacing on dialogue and such, which was pretty minimal in RF4. You are forced to greet everyone on the first day, and there is no timer counting down while you do so. The music isn’t as vibrant as RF4. Plus, you’re subjected to some really long opening cutscenes introducing characters you haven’t been sold on yet. The start just doesn’t hit as hard; RF4 paid a lot of attention to getting all of the systems’ down to a science, and the quality of life/ergonomics were pretty incredible overall. However, the first hour is not the rest of the game. The game really picks up and I felt at home. I got used to the music and the town really grew on me. Personally, I really enjoy the character designs, much more than RF4. Everyone felt unique and I wish everyone was as thoroughly explored as all the bachelors/bachelorettes. The story was serviceable, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful. Doesn’t hold a candle to RF4, but that’s not the point here. ✨ Buy From Official Steam Website
