When all the villains in Arkham Asylum team up and break loose, only the dynamic duo is bold enough to take them on to save Gotham City. The fun of LEGO, the drama of Batman and the uniqueness of the combination makes for a comical and exciting adventure in LEGO Batman: The Videogame. Play as Batman and his sidekick Robin as you build, drive, swing and fight your way through Gotham City capturing escaped villains including The Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow and more. Then, jump into the story from the other side and play as Batmans foes! Enjoy the power you wield and battle Batman while spreading chaos throughout the city. There is no rest for the good (or evil!).

Game is fun and a total nostalgia blast, so it pains me to have to say this: You should not buy it on PC. With windows 10 and modern mid-range specs, the game crashed constantly for me, and has an abundance of jank. Even using the fixes of turning VSync on and setting it to Windows Vista compatibility mode, it still frequently crashed. Sucks to have to say this, because this is a really fun game, and the best Lego game out there. If you can manage to find an old PS2, PS3, or XBOX, play it on that and prepare to relive your childhood, but do not buy it on Steam, because the mountain of issues is going to completely overshadow whatever fun you’re having.

The game features Batman and his sidekick Robin fighting their most dangerous foes, who have all broken out of Arkham Asylum and split into three groups to wreak havoc across Gotham City. The story is split into three scenarios, each one seeing them confront groups lead by the Riddler, the Penguin and the Joker. In each scenario, the player controls Batman and Robin as they fight through hordes of goons and henchmen to reach and defeat each villain, foil their plans, and send them back to Arkham. After clearing each story, the player is able to play through it in the villains’ perspective, controlling them and carrying out their individual plans up to before being stopped by the Dynamic Duo.
