MATURE CONTENT DESCRIPTION The developers describe the content like this: Outriders is a RPG-Shooter with aggressive gunplay and intense action. As such, blood and gore is frequent, and core to the experience. The Outriders unique abilities are as violent as the shooting, with bloody and gruesome methods for dispatching of enemies. The world of Enoch is dark and desperate, and the characters that inhabit the world are equally so. The game has strong language, adult theme and scenes some may find distressing.I played the game previously with Gamepass on my friend’s PC and liked it, but was still reluctant to buy it on steam as there were so many negative reviews. I thought the initial experience was not going to be representative of the mid or endgame. So when the game was on sale recently I tried the demo again with my new gaming laptop set up to try out how it would run, it ran just fine on medium settings. Initially, I went into the game thinking that I will treat this one as an “ignore the story and focus on gameplay” type. But as I went further into the story and lore books, I got more interested in the story and the world itself. Yes, the characters are two-dimensional, but at least the main character has that silly charm.

I am around 10 hours into the main campaign and the gameplay loop is so engaging and challenging if you’re playing solo on higher world tiers, you’ll die a lot if you don’t upgrade your gear or mismanage a combat scenario. Some captain enemies can f**k you up if you don’t pay attention quickly and don’t prioritize who to kill first. Weapon and armor skins are neat but not exceptional (I am still in the early-mid game so can’t comment on the end-game skins). The class-associated skills feel so different and powerful when used in the correct situations and wrong use can mess up the whole fight (in the higher world tiers that is). I have only tried 2 classes yet, the technomancer and the devastator, but both felt unique in their own way. (Currently going with the technomancer for the first playthrough) If you have any doubts regarding buying the game on sale, just try the demo, ignore approximately the initial 1/2 hour of gameplay (one or two shooting galleries) because it does not reflect what you will be getting into when you are going to choose a class. After that, the real fun begins with the class abilities and fights. I think that the game is definitely worth a buy on a sale if you are in the market for a fast-paced third-person looter-shooter. I might update the review once I reach the endgame and get into the gear grind.✨ Buy From Official Steam Website
