Surviving the Aftermath Free Download (v1.24.1.5353 & ALL DLC)

Survive and thrive in a post-apocalyptic future — resources are scarce, but opportunity calls! Build the ultimate disaster proof colony, protect your colonists, and restore civilization to a devastated world. Good game overall but after 25hrs you’ll have seen every aspect of it, apart from the ending (which I haven’t reached yet) and it bocomes a little boring. Technically speaking it’s a bit of a mess, starting from performance issues – CPU and GPU aren’t maxed but FPS rarely goes over 45-50 and it’s very variable all in all – and going on with gameplay issues: panning the screen over the edges stops working every now and then, depending on what you click on the hud/objects, and the only way to have it back is panning with “awsd” or right clicking and moving the screen.. just one of those alternate panning methods unlocks the edges again. Last but not least, the world map is too big and its layout is a mess, I’m constantly struggling trying to understand what a survivor is doing.. Is he moving, has he stopped, where had I sent him? I cannot recommend this at full price, which goes from 29€ for the base game and 55 for the Ultimate Edition, but if you find some deal than it’s an OK game. oh great a paradox game, a company thats well know for complex and entertaining strategy games, after the good “surviving mars”, what could go wrong? well in that case quite a large amounnt. you have no real control over your people you can not set pathways and you cannot set out transport routes and you cannot order someone to simply drop everything and repair that burning building instead of transporting some lame soybeans. (Building burns down you have to build it again.)

Upgrades from buildings also have at least sometimes not the same base area, great for a city builder really well done (face palm) Music is decent but after a few hours annoying.l grafics are ok but you have not proper response from the game: where is for example the fertile ground? (you dont want to build a warehouse on top) where is the pollution limit (you want to keep outside) where is the next water and electricity source? (you get only a response if both are already built!) each of these things is a different filter that you have to sift through manually. story is idiotic combat is the must primitive thing that can be thought of: standing opposite of each other and roundwise shooting. all people have stats but these are meaningless since you cant put these to use properly by assigning certain jobs to certain people (making for example entertainers, guys who carry or workers or mechanics and so on…) maybe in another 5 dlcs the game will be decent with more meaningful combat and strategic building and so of right now the base game is a primitive skeleton. also the the game is artificially being prolonged without any real understandable reason. progress just stops for some time until you make some braindead job for someone. whats it worth: well right now 5 bucks sad a decent apocalyptic wasteland city builder game seems missing. Apart from the few minor bugs I saw, the game runs well, the graphics are very immersive and the different aspects of the game are well thought out. However, there is a lack of flavour, I did not feel what a colonist in a post-apocalyptic world could feel. There is so much that can be done. Making the specialists something more unique, I want to hurt when one of them dies, I want to be scarred if something goes wrong. Right now, they just feel like numbers. Waiting every 4 day to hire one and make him a settler. So many different good stories that can be told. City-building is fun, but for me it’s not enough. I’ll finish my current play-through, but not sure I’ll revisit the game again until there is more personality. I don’t see any replay ability to the game either.
