Shadows over Loathing — a slapstick-figure comedy adventure-RPG full of mobsters, monsters, and mysteries. Shadows Over Loathing is a titanic improvement over West of Loathing in every way imaginable. It features a more robust plot, more distinctive design, more quests that are easier to find (if not necessarily easier to solve), and more to do in general. If you played WoL, then you should play this too – period. Shadows brings a lot to the table, but maybe the most praiseworthy element is the setting. This isn’t some generic Lovecraft knockoff with cheesy jokes, nor a simple mystery with ghosts. The world of SoL is surreal in a way that forces the player to keep going, if only to see how far into the dread cosmic it might go. If you’ve read this, then go play it already. You wouldn’t have wasted the time to read this if you weren’t interested, and if you’re interested, then you’re probably going to like it. I didn’t know this was coming out. I didn’t even know it was being made. I am beyond elated that this exists and that I get to play it. Pros: – The game/narrator still mocks you if you want to do dumb things or if you actually do dumb things. Narrator tries to talk you out of doing dumb things. Narrator trolls you. Multiple choices for actions which shape the traits your character has. I received a permanent character trait for getting my ass kicked.

Your Uncle Murray has requested your aid at his antique shop in Ocean City, but upon your arrival the old man is nowhere to be found. Your investigation into his disappearance and the artifacts he’s been collecting takes a turn when you stumble across some shadowy plots (and a bunch of squirming eldritch tentacles) that threaten to bring about the end of the world. Wait 5 seconds and click on the grey ‘download now’ button. Now let the download begin and wait for it to finish.
Once the game is done downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to” (To do this you must have 7-Zip or winrar, which you can get here).
Double click inside the Game folder and run the .exe application.
