The game can both be tense, stressful and bloody hilarious. Just walking in on the Saboteur right after they destroyed something is so funny. Because usually it ends up in both of us looking at each other like: “Well..-” Play with friends for the optimal experience. And if you do play with friends. Don’t take it TOO seriously. Just enjoy the fun and tense moments that can occur. The original menu design. 2. Limit of one carriable item. 3. No weapon throw arc (making it impossible to kill dogs). 4. Dogs behaviour on the hardest difficulty. Combined with stuff falling from the ceiling, and a time limit, those vicious things just tear you to shreds in seconds, forcing you to treat them as something to run by hoping they’ll turn around too late to one-shot you. Jumping over them doesn’t work since you can’t move for a split second after landing (meaning, you’re dead). So what I’m saying is this. Saboteur is a niche of its own, feeling quite fresh even after all the Marks of the Ninjas and Shinobis of later days. It’s still worth playing. But take Saboteur, touch up the graphics, zoom out the default view a bit, add some more stealth, more platforming, more exploration, maybe some more abilities (Rope swinging? Ledge climbing? Wall climbing?) – and you won’t need to put any Gremlin plushies into the game.

This game is great fun with friends. And as of writing this it has to be with friends because the player base is almost non existent since no one knows of the game. There is an official discord where you can set up games with other owners of the game and as more join it will become a lot better I believe. It’s surprisingly solid for a game from a complete no name. There are the occasional bugs but nothing serious and the options menu isn’t perfect either but that stuff can easily be fixed. Playing as the saboteur and hearing footsteps behind you and wondering if it’s a security or a scientist is nerve wrecking. You have to play it cool so you don’t give yourself away. As the security you easily feel overwhelmed with how large of an area you have to cover with the main map. You need either luck or good teamwork to win. Luckily there is a built in push-to-talk voip in the game but there’s no volume controls or anything. Also something that can be added later hopefully. The graphics are good but not spectacular. They sell the world and nothing feels totally out of place. You can scale the game down for lower end hardware really easily but as mentioned the options menu isn’t perfect so might take a little tinkering. Hopefully this will be fixed. Overall it’s a total recommend with friends. If you don’t have any friends it might still be worth it if joining the discord to find others to play with. Saboteur ?️

• You have to achieve your objective of sabotaging enough critical areas while blending in with the AI controlled scientists. Don’t draw any unwanted attention. Observe and mimic the scientists.
• You have several tools to your advantage, like the ability to sabotage lights and doors among others.
• With greater mobility you can outmanoeuvre Security Forces if you play smart.
