I got my money’s worth but it’s a 50/50 on recommending this to others. In short, this simcade (at best) starts off fresh but will slowly turn into a broken grind. Lemme explain: The selection of bikes and tracks is great. This is the meat of the game and where I found my enjoyment. Setting up various bikes for various tracks and comparing them to performance and feel is great fun. This includes upgrading components and then fine tuning your setup for the particular track and conditions. To top it off there are multiple visual customization options, including user made liveries that you can share and download. Where it falls apart is the balancing. You will mostly win without effort or be banished to 3rd place with a 10+ second gap to 2nd. This is because some bikes are just flat out broken for their performance rating, including from paid DLC. Notable examples are the V7 II Special and FZR 1000. Even when you don’t own the DLC the AI can still spawn on them, making certain races impossible to win. Such as getting your 230hp H2 (base game) matched up with a 310hp H2R (DLC). Really, game? But even the more balanced single player events aren’t that challenging or exciting.
