Joined by another local BSAA agent, Sheva Alomar, the two must work together to solve the truth behind the disturbing turn of events. Content Description This game is a port of the Games for Windows – Live version that was released in 2009. If you buy the Untold Stories Bundle here on Steam, it will be the same as upgrading to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. Much enjoyable action ensues as you stab, shoot, punch and karate kick lots of African people infected by a bio-weapon. Now, despite the fact your character is white, and everyone you are shooting is black, it’s totally not racist. Africa is believed to be one of the earliest places where life developed, and the games story has a plant that only grows there, which can be used to control the various viruses that have been created throughout the series.

An even briefer history post Resi 5: they are all mediocre 3rd and 1st person shooters. The end. With Resi 5 it is clearly working with the mantra “bigger is better”, so just doubles down on the action and set-pieces of 4. It’s not quite as good, since the clunk factor of outdated controls still persists and better handling was very much a thing when this was released, but it’s miles better than the steaming pile of doo-doo that is 6. Did you hate 4 for the game-play? Then you’ll hate this. The end. Are you looking for horror that is jump scares or persistent tension? You won’t find it here. The end. If you’re still here I presume you want to know what Resi 5 offers…and lo! I, uh, will tell you just that very thing! You shoot people in the face. Monsters sprout out of their face, and you shoot those too. Then more monsters sprout of the dead monster, and you stab those because you’ve run out of bullets shooting all the other sprouty things. Only, stabbing things is rubbish and you’re better off giving them an axe kick to the face or a mighty uppercut instead. You punch a financially astute crow and it drops it’s life-savings in the form of a bag of gold coins, that you can spend on weapons instead of putting that dead crows children through crow college.
Resident Evil 5 ?
Having found the final part for the bioweapon in Africa they take it for a test run on the indigenous people, and so that’s why everyone is black. There was that dodgy bit where you encounter tribes dressed in ancestral clothing, and they just leave a flimsy note that says “everyone went doolally and dressed up in ancestral clothing for no reason whatsoever” *other than a designer thought it would look cool* but beyond that the plot is incredibly well thought out and totally not open to misrepresentation. Though you might be literally xenophobic, as, at this point in the Resident Evil canon, the origin of all these biological weapons might as well be alien lifeforms from outer space. The controls are a teeny bit poo due to still being unable to move and shoot, yet it’s still fun to play thanks to the frantic numbers of enemies on-screen, gory gun-play, and some entertaining set-pieces. You have an AI partner, or with some mild technical fiddling co-op play is still doable. Your AI partner isn’t thick as pig-poop, so that’s nice. They are still a bit dim from time to time, but they mean well, bless ’em. Somewhat surprisingly the dialogue isn’t awful, and compared to the plots of other Resi games, well…this is almost coherent and…okay..?? Which is high praise for this series.
