Your leader and starting settlers get dropped into randomized maps with a randomized ‘selection’ of techs and try to complete the objectives with what you have available. Semi-roguelike progression in unlocking more leaders, maps, and techs across multiple play sessions. Some of the starts and random disasters will kill your runs, especially rescue missions. Occasionally multiple developments snowball in truly absurd ways – I find it makes for great emergent stories, but some may find that aspect frustrating. Solid core to the game with an active, responsive developer. He addresses both bug reports and feedback surprisingly quickly for a one man team, especially on the Discord. Some bugs remain for ongoing polish and refinement, but definitely one of my most positive early access experiences and I have every reason to believe it will be dealt with in full. Hoping that larger maps with more AI villages will be possible once the post-release bugfixing is stabilized. I bought that game maaaaany months ago and I am recommending this game for ANYBODY to try it out! it is so cool in terms of design and uniqueness, I spent so many hours in this game and plan to do it even more 😀 Of course players will stomp on bugs and some stupid crap like unit behaviors acting weird etc. but this is being worked on by Kainga dev so it will get some more polish in that terms I am sure of that, oh and I can’t even compare how game worked few months ago vs right now
