When the city of Mangetsu is under attack, it’s up to Yatsuha and her new allies to drive back the nightmares and save the city! The character builds are pretty easy going, and still complex enough to feel like it’s not just a matter of pumping exp to get stronk. Each character has a unique slot for their build, which you unlock individually throughout the game, things like changing their class type to Fire, and utilizing high physical attack skills, or to Holy and utilizing party buffs and such. But each unique item to change those builds is few and far between, each only being useful to 1 of your 4 members, so it could be 4 bosses later before member #1 gets their 2nd class item. The H aspects of the game (gotta get kaguras patch) are… Eh. It’s almost like they made an attempt to cater to every audience, but only lightly to each kink. And I mean… everything. Very little I haven’t heard about that’s not in there, so not gonna bother listing it all. But among the heavy themes, definitely a lot of FxF and solo F, and combat contains primarily tentacles. The recollection area is rather large, but mostly covered by part 1, 2, & 3 skits. There are Hstats too… but… what for? Lose one battle to see one member got off 126 times from the defeat scene, and nothing noticeably changed. It’s mentioned that they are more vulnerable to Hattacks when their hstats are high, and they get more access to Hskills, but I can’t really see the correlation in practice. The skills are lackluster to the base ones too, minus the sick cello solo you can play on your bean mid fight. Overall, it’s a pretty good game. It’s refreshing to see something that’s actually enjoyable to play for >2hrs in the Hgenre. The lack of settings throws me off though, most all customization is done by talking to npcs, none of them being obvious so you gotta run around and figure it out. This is also an issue with finding your next task if you forget, there’s no mission screen or anything similar, just gotta talk to the npcs and piece it together. That aside, everything else is easy enough to get familiar with.
