This game pushes purchases hard, going so far as to put non-removable banners (for stuff you already own) and even putting a splash screen in front of the menu that you have to click out of. That’s an instant 1/100 rating right there, we don’t need this garbage in games, especially not when it’s based on predatory practices to sell overpriced DLC pixels for a full price game. The story is okay, it’s a little disjointed and the writing isn’t great, but cool scenes here and there. The premise of Superman being a villain wore off its welcome in the first game, I don’t see why it’s here again. The AI (on any difficulty above easy) is garbage, it’s full on cheat mode, enemies gain full health for no reason, they lock you into perfect combos, they take reduced damage and do increased damage, they ramp up the difficulty the better you’re doing to give you a false sense of a challenge, etc, etc, etc… It’s complete trash. Without the egregious advertisement, I put this at a 4/10 overall. The single player experience is easily 1/10, dragging the game down hard. With the advertisement, this is a complete avoid.
