Wage epic turn-based battles as you follow Daryon and Selene on their quest to find a cure to the all-consuming Corrosion in this grand tale of hope and sacrifice, created by a small team of passionate JRPG lovers. Pushing past those issues we have the game-play issues. First off, the game tries to innovate itself with a gimmick system for everything. You get a new weapon! well you need to level up that weapon to open gem slots for special abilities. You can only go one way so look before you fill in. Second, the combat is based on the directional and buttons. So, pick the left side for magic and such and the right for combat/movement/items/etc. The list goes on and on. Every feature of this game has some form of system to it to include weather and what you are standing next to. Item creation is a royal mess as well. You do not know how many you have while making them or you run into the bigger issue of having to wait on the story to be able to make items. There are times you will have to wait an entire chapter before upgrading you gear even though you have the recipe. One of my biggest issues is the camera. You will be fighting this thing just to see what is on the field. Couple that with vegetation and enemies being dark. The experience screens take too long and you have to wait a few moments before being able to close them. There are a lot more things like NPCs do not move around making the locations feel a bit lifeless, but I will not spoil the ‘fun” for you.
