Door Kickers 2: Task Force North ✨ ? – Command military Special Ops Teams in gripping tactical combat against a Middle East-based terrorist network. Sequel to RockPaperShotgun’s “Best Tactics Game of 2014”. Gun customization is constantly updated, including scopes, suppressors, ammo type(sub sonic or EPR bois). Not as many of the guns are suppressor capable as one would think, I’m referring mostly to pistols and many DMRs. Access to bi/mono nvg is quite fun. Nvg does limit your vision spread(Which is correct for anyone wondering). -The RNG is this game is very well polished over the updates, enemies are usually in differing places that you are forced to pull security, no matter what. -Mission generator is fun to a point, gets consistent updates. Steam workshop has relieved some of the grind pressure. Tons of NVG maps now. -AI for the most part is a respectable enemy, snipers, machine gunners, grenadiers, and grunts will give you enough reason to “Cover, shoot, move” your way through city streets/bunker/BFE. Oh…also suicide bombers; Best to keep overlapping sectors of fire. -Team AI is tricky to tell on your path planning exactly where they will be facing(in big team tactics). Though a quick, right click and drag shows you every they see and their fire sector. This is very difficult in multiplayer if you do not set “meet points” to keep your team organized and flowing proper.

“Charge set”, my Alpha Team leader said. Not knowing what lay in wait for us behind the door, I commanded, “Burn it” into the radio. “Burning”, he replied. Sliding his finger into the pull ring of the ignition system, he pushed the pin in, turned it a quarter turn, and pulled. The night was no longer silent as the sound of shredding timber filled the night. Windows shattered and pieces of glass fell to the ground. The walls around me shook. Where a door once stood, only smoke remained. Like water bursting forth from a dam, men flowed into the unknown. — from “Violence of Action” by Marty Skovlund Let’s keep this fast and simple. If you do not like controlling your units very meticulously, this is an iffy for you. —- -Top down view from DK1 was new and I personally thought a great twist for a shooter, they added camera angle(good for cinematic). You get to watch your kill team/local assets in a much more “tactacool” sense. -A diverse cast of Batt teams, CIA assets(yes spies too), and local militia. They do not mix and match though in single player. (Maybe one day!) They do in multiplayer. -If you know nothing of CQB, there is a steep learning curve. A lot of the controls are best found at through the menu. As the tutorial will give you the basic tools/use of them, then leaves you be to learn via trial of fire. As this game forces you to follow irl CQB guidelines. Door Kickers 2: Task Force North.
