A clean and simple twin-stick shooter. If you love those and really need a new one to scratch the itch go for it – it’s just $5. But otherwise there are many better ones out there. There’s no real progression or sense of purpose in here. It’s just you and hordes of enemies, ruined buildings, and random pickups. By accumulating total score you unlock new weapons or ingame perks, sure, but most feel just the same as the other ones and there’s no permanent upgrades of any sort. In that sense, it’s not really a roguelite but just a good old arcade twin-stick.There’s no real purpose in getting better or lasting longer though. The leaderboard is pointless, there are almost no ways to affect your score (one random 2x score pickup), no permanent progression, no stages, no enemy variety, nothing. Even achievements are only based on your score.
