While this game pitches itself as a 4v4 battle game, it feels far more along the lines of a MOBA or sports with action-combat. Modes include exploring dungeons fighting minions.

While the core gameplay is great, the campaign has one major downside. They follow individual characters and the two long campaigns I ran both used the boring fighter class. Its not until after you complete a mission once that you can experiment with new heroes and all of the powers that the game has to offer. There is often a particular satisfaction replaying through the missions as the villain. It doesn’t branch the story, but its darn fun. As I said though, this is a multiplayer game at its core. Completing objectives and missions will unlock multiplayer banners, titles and videos.

The protagonist, Asta, is the only boy unable to use magic in a world where magic is everything. Despite this affliction, Asta manages to overcome all sorts of hurdles with the help of his friends, and persists in his goal of becoming the Wizard King. This game also includes an original story not depicted in the currently airing Black Clover anime series. Yami Sukehiro, the captain of Asta’s knight order.
