You’ll fight for the honor of the Belle-de-Nuit brothel, be it with steel or soft lips. The Good: Pacing – One thing I really admire about Belle-de-Nuit is the pacing. Seeing that the book was 115,00 words (quite a lot, especially if this was a standard book, but that length can feel short when reading interactive fiction), I thought that there wouldn’t be enough time or space to make characters engaging enough to want to romance anyone, let alone develop any relationships. However, this is absolutely not the case. The author quickly establishes each character, and provides what feels like a significant amount of time with your chosen romance. Things kind of go from 30 to 100 at the end, but overall, this pacing of the story felt strong.
