Wreak havoc on countless foes with mighty weapons and deadly spells! Enhance your skills and face even greater dangers! Army of Ruin is an auto-shooter where you become the Bullet Hell. Another great take on Milkstone’s tried recipe of a tight gameplay loop, roguelite rules and progressive upgrades and unlocks. A tad slower paced than similar games, but I find that to my liking really, as it allows for optimizing your position depending on what weapon is active at the moment rather than just reacting. Difficulty curve feels a little harsh but it’s early access and probably before any tuning has happened (they did the same thing in Ziggurat 2 and they did tune it). Tight little game and at a very appealing price point. Amazing game so far! Weapons and trinkets are pretty cool and there are a ton to unlock. My concern was the 10 minute runs but higher levels have more waves. There are weapon evolution’s you just unlock it a little later. UI is nice and clean and the gameplay is pretty simple. The only negative is that it is a little too slow paced and not as difficult as other roguelite games.
