Join the shadow clan and fight the invader armies to protect your people.  This game has received a lot of hate regarding how the gameplay is nothing like the original Aragami, so the devs being as awesome as they are made a classic mode that makes the game as close to the original game as possible. on the mission board before you start a mission you can change between normal and classic mode. I wasn’t going to make a review until i beat the game but when this update came out I knew I had to make one, this game is a great sequel with evolved gameplay, better level design, better movement, more collectibles, and more skills then Aragami 1, although it can get repetitive at times with playing the same 10 missions with different objectives over and over again. I 100% recommend this game to anyone who are interested in ninja games and that goes for aragami 1 as well. A worthy successor to the original Aragami. Compared to the first game there is more ‘permisivness’ in combat, you will not die in a single hit (at least in early levels) allowing you to ‘run-and-gun’ if you wish. The level design features recurring visits to several areas which I think is an interesting use of resources to extend the game’s story and to replay the same area with different guards Aragami 2 ?️

Playing in multiplayer we did run into a few instances of players being unable to activate certain effects, (Momentum, Assassination, Mission Items) restarting the game would fix the issue. Also massive bonus points for not having any achievements that require 1000 hours of gameplay or require you to play a certain way. Loved the first one, but they removed all the dynlics of the light and shadow that made this game so fun to play. And yes they added the classical mode but the galme is not designed that way so there’s a gap between level design and gameplay. Combat mode is half-baked in my opinion. WAAAAAY to basic and when playing coop, just attack on a loop and the guard can’t defend himself. Finally I want to specify that I don’t mind a few glitches in a game, but here the glitches where REALLY annoying (guards that stopped moving mid fight and let them get murdered, player stuck, …). But the most disappointing was the assassination cinematic that CONSTENTLY glitch (I had no problem with that in the first one due to the age) but I mean come on, it’s a stealth game, if you must have ONE thing perfect it’s this animations. To be completely fair, the lobby idea in between missions is a good idea, the story looked interesting (didn’t play enough to see much of it) and graphics are better (but far from enough for a 2021 game imo). Would recommend this game for 10 bucks but no more. Hope if they make a sequel they’l go back to basics…
