place traps mid-wave means you can adapt VERY well to approaching situations (note: I don’t know if this is the case on the hard difficulty), and while some traps could definitely use more punch or better indicators that they’re ready to fire or some timing tweaking, I’m at least having fun. I’m getting my enjoyment out of it, even if I won’t turn around and tell my buddies to pick it up, for what flaws it definitely does have. Something like more upgrade depth, upgrade paths/trees for the traps and weapons, an even higher variety of traps (DLCs included, there’s actually quite a few in the game now, but I feel too many of them serve the same purpose/overlap, leading to a lot of necessary min-maxing for price against effectiveness), heroes having more ability options instead of a single movement-based one, maybe some mechanics focused around expanding the creative depth of the game, and you’d have a real gem here. I honestly hope either a 4th game with more improvements, or something in a new franchise but of the same vein comes out of these developers. They could take quite a lot of what they’ve learned from these 3 games and really crank out a masterpiece tower-shooter blend that flexes both creativity and the action-based combat they want.
